Submissions

We invite you to submit an article to be considered for publication in the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law & Policy. GJPLP is the nation’s premier law journal on poverty issues and it publishes articles from distinguished law professors and practitioners in poverty-related disciplines.

Submit to GJPLP In Print

The Journal encourages authors to submit articles on poverty law and policy related topics that are no longer than 30,000 words in length, including text and footnotes.  Articles are read and selected on a rolling basis until all available pages in the applicable volume are filled.

The Journal strongly prefers that authors submit articles through Bepress (law.bepress.com). Alternatively, authors without accounts may submit their articles as a Microsoft Word attachment to this email address (jplp@law.georgetown.edu).  Authors are asked to provide an abstract and CV with their submissions.  Due to the volume of content the Journal receives, we cannot guarantee a response will be provided if your submission is not selected for publication.

Submit to GJPLP Online

GJPLP Online is the home of the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law & Policy on the web. We accept submissions from professors, students, practitioners, as well as from individuals with a unique or personal perspective on the topic of poverty law.  Our website offers an opportunity to publish on a shorter timeline, allowing authors to discuss topical issues in brief articles of 5,000 words or less. Authors may submit their articles to jplp@law.georgetown.edu, with the subject “Online Submission,” as a Microsoft Word attachment. Authors are asked to provide an abstract and CV with their submissions.
